HISTORY OF THE COMPANY
FEUER powertrain can look back at company history of growing success. It became one of the world’s largest independent manufacturer of crankshafts and is also partner for the development of these components. FEUER powertrain was founded by Mr. Dieter Feuer. His initial idea was to implement fully-automated and effective machine tools and to combine this with maximum flexibility regarding different crankshaft designs. He saw a very high potential in this idea. And in 2002 this prompted him to take the bold and committed step of laying the foundation stone for his ever-expanding company.
Originally trained as a machinist, this experienced entrepreneur courageously decided to build a production hall to house his first crankshaft line with just a single contract in his order book. Thanks to excellent knowledge of technology and state-of-the-art automated systems he was soon able to book further orders and to break into the automotive crankshaft market. This area was expanding over the following years and resulted in a leading position on world markets.

The FEUER powertrain Group is committed to manufacturing crankshafts that fulfil the highest standards in the most sustainable way possible. Since 2003 it has subscribed to solar power generation and uses well water to cool its factory halls. In 2008 the group started gradually stepping up heat recovery. Every year over 7,000 t CO2 is saved by heating the factory halls with waste heat from the machines and the extensive use of LED lighting.

Nachhaltigkeit, Umweltschutz, Energie
Die FEUER powertrain Gruppe hat sich verpflichtet, Kurbelwellen, die höchsten Standards entsprechen, möglichst nachhaltig zu produzieren. Seit 2003 wird auf solare Stromerzeugung gesetzt und die Kühlung der Hallen mittels Brunnenwasser vorgenommen. Im Jahr 2008 wurde begonnen, die Wärmerückgewinnung sukzessive auszubauen. Das Heizen der Hallen mittels Abwärme der Maschinen und der flächendeckende Einsatz von LED-Leuchten sparen pro Jahr mehr als 7.000 Tonnen CO₂.
